Split Ends Quarterly is a literary magazine by and for disabled writers. All disabled and neurodivergent writers are welcome to submit work (see our submit page).Issue 1 coming soon!

EDITORAyanna Uppal (she/her) is a Punjabi poet and a junior at Germantown Friends School. From Philadelphia, she is a graduate of UVA Young Writers and Kenyon Young Writers Workshop. She is a co-president of her school’s poetry club and, in her spare time, enjoys translating and reading Punjabi works.

EDITORQetsi’ah Joachim-Baggott (any pronouns) is a disabled agender lesbian poet, writer, and crazy person from the south of England. They unequivocally support the fight for Palestinian liberation. They were shortlisted for the 2022 Merky Books New Writers prize, and made the longlist of the 2023 BBC young writers award. Their poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in The Machine, Acedia, Manywor(l)ds, Fish Barrel Review, and Heathline Zine, among others. They can be found on twitter @iamgoingtocry15, tweeting about nonsense, and they run a substack called Qetsi’ah&Answers, where they interview disabled creatives and write whatever they want. Outside of writing, they enjoy ranting to people about snakes, firing steam engines, and causing small-scale havoc.

READERJenna Nesky (she/her) is an autistic poet. She has words in Eunoia Review, Substantially Unlimited, and other literary magazines. She has participated in writing programs at Kenyon College and in Iowa. She is a co-founder and co-president of Young Poets Workshop, where she leads workshops for teen writers.

READERAbby Austin (she/her) is a neurodivergent writer from coastal California. She is an alum of the 2023 Fir Acres Writing Workshop at Lewis And Clark College in poetry. Her poetry is published or forthcoming in luvsick mag, The Eyre and The Inceptive Lit. Besides writing, she enjoys watching sports, falling into internet rabbit holes about her hyperfixations, losing track of time playing Minecraft and causing mischief.

Send between one and four poems via our form, any submission sent via our email address will be ignored - preferred document formats are docs and PDFs

Each poem should begin on its own page and be titled individually

Individual poems may be no longer than two pages

Do not submit more than once in a submission period. If you submit multiple times in the same submission period, your submission will be ignored

We do not accept previously published work

We accept simultaneous submissions; if your piece is accepted elsewhere, please contact us via email to withdraw the piece. Please do not use our submission form to withdraw a poem from consideration
